RE MAURÌ RESTAURANT – VIETRI SUL MARE

The restaurant Re Maurì in Vietri sul Mare was born in 2014 from the Marinelli Group’s creativity and ambition. The desire was to create a temple of taste, an oasis for connoisseurs and enthusiasts of a refined and sophisticated cuisine on the wonderful Amalfi Coast.

Floating between the sky and the sea. Re Maurì means entering a new elegant and sophisticated dimension, in which everything is created to envelop the guests and guide them throughout the taste experience.

Re Maurì is a connection with tradition and a view to the future, it’s personality and soul.

Its name contains a homage of the Marinelli family to its forefather Giuseppe, who everyone called Maurì. A name that becomes the expression of the four children’s love, esteem and gratitude for their father.

THE HISTORY

The essence of the cuisine, the attention to detail, the elegance of the location and the staff’s competency made the sensory path offered by the restaurant possible while adding value to it. And validation was not long in coming.

The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2015, which was reconfirmed in 2017 and 2019, and the recommendation in L’Espresso Guide “Italy’s Restaurants”. In 2016, after only two years of business, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star; an important acknowledgement of the great job done by the chef, the staff and the owners.

THE STYLE

As if it were nestled in a painting from which it takes harmony, peace and well-being.

At sunset, the dining room and the terrace are filled with magical colours, a unique atmosphere for an aperitivo for two or with friends. The atmosphere and the fine furniture make Re Maurì the perfect setting for business lunches and romantic dinners, for relaxing lunches and dinners and for organising personalised events. Both the terrace and the indoor dining room hold about 50 people, and seats can be added for special events. From every spot of the restaurant you can enjoy a wonderful view on the Gulf of Vietri and Torre Crestarella. Both the terrace, perfect for enjoying spring and summer days, and the large and spacious panoramic dining room are a true tribute to elegance, where the harmony of the restaurant is perfectly in tune with the harmony of the landscape.

The beautiful open-plan kitchen finely cladded with ceramic tiles crafted in Vietri is another key aspect of Re Maurì’s elegance; behind the scenes, cutting-edge technologies support chef Lorenzo Cuomo, who coordinates a kitchen brigade of professionals and is the favourite pupil of the multi-Michelin-starred Oliver Glowig.

THE WINE CELLAR

The wine list is constantly evolving and it includes national and European labels that are among the finest ones, as well as wines from more distant cultures and productions. A selection that accompanies, enriches and completes the food and wine journey designed by the restaurant, with suggested elegant and refined pairings that give birth to a sophisticated tasting.

For enthusiasts and for those who wish to indulge in a moment of pure relaxation, the pleasure of a match that has been appreciated for centuries: rum and cigars. A fulfilling sensory experience, thanks to the exclusive rum selection and the wide choice of cigars: flavours dedicated to a clientele with fine taste.
